I find church in people

A church building, often simply called a church, is a building used for religious activities, particularly worship services.

It is sad that most people believe that the above definition is in fact what church is. I believe that church is people.

The people that lift your spirits and stand by you through the good times and the bad times.

The people that intercede on your behalf when you are tired and weary.

The people whose prayers carry the Pastor through the tough times.

The people who are willing to understand that you are human and are willing to forgive and forget.

The people who love you unconditionally, no matter your skin colour, your appearance, your status, the car you drive nor the house you live in.

Two people sitting in a coffee shop praying for one another, that is church.

A prayer meeting in a home, that is church.

Showing the Father’s love to a stranger, that is church.

We all go through trials and tribulations. Sometimes we don’t see those people that are carrying us through the valleys. But God’s has promised never to leave us or forsake us and by that He means that He will send people to guide us and be pillars to us in times of need. Just as we are there for other people.
